MXM Quartz Surfaces contain crystalline silica (SiO₂).
While finished slabs are safe for installation and everyday use, fabrication processes — including cutting, grinding, drilling, or polishing — may generate respirable crystalline silica dust.
All fabrication and handling must comply with applicable occupational health and safety regulations, including OSHA 29 C.F.R. §1910.1053 (Respirable Crystalline Silica Standard).
While MXM Surfaces are engineered to withstand everyday impact and pressure, they are not intended to bear excessive weight or be used as a standing surface. Extra caution is advised in structurally sensitive areas—such as edges, sharp corners, or processed sections—which may be more vulnerable than the rest of the surface.
Extended contact with harsh chemicals or aggressive solvents may compromise the integrity and finish of MXM Surfaces. Avoid cleaning or treating the surface with substances such as hydrofluoric acid, paint stripping agents, or products that contain trichloroethane or methylene chloride, as these can lead to permanent surface damage.
Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may alter the shape or appearance of MXM Surfaces, potentially leading to deformation or color variation. To preserve the original finish and performance of the product, avoid placing or using it in areas subjected to continuous direct sunlight.
